Give Yourself Permission to do that thing! You know, the thing you've wanted to do, but kept making excuses for or avoiding. What if you let yourself have it or do it? How would that feel? I took a leap of faith to start writing my book and now I've become a writer. I've discovered something that I've always done and took for granted is actually a passion and has now become a purpose. Sometimes we wait for someone to give us permission, instead of going after what we want. You don't need my permission, but you have it. I invite and encourage you to consider what have you been waiting for? Maybe it's time to just do it! I love Brooklyn! Enjoyed an amazing day of free author panels and a book publishing fair. It was inspiring to hear writers share their work and experiences. Bravo to all the warriors who braved the rain - so many passionate readers showed up to learn and celebrate their passions. Loved the different perspectives and sharing of ideas. How to find your place and pace? Yoga has been an invaluable practice for me to learn how to slow down and find ease in discomfort. There are many lessons we can learn from yoga in our own leadership approach. From feeling the stretch and finding our edge in pursuing growth to breathing and being present. In our rush to do, do, do, we make time our enemy. Faster isn't always better and the truth is that many things take longer than we expect, and that's not a bad thing. Quality requires time and effort and often can't be rushed. Don't let your expectations of how quickly something needs to happen get in the way of allowing the right thing to happen at the right time and place. Far better to have everything line up in your favor than to rush or push something forward before it's time. Others may have a different point of view. Of course there are times when being first to market can be advantageous and it can be helpful to act quickly. However, when there's something you care deeply about, don't you owe it to yourself to be thoughtful and intentional? Be patient with yourself and the process if you know that you are doing everything you can to make things more forward. Stop worrying and beating yourself up and trust that your best efforts will see you through! #growthcoach #consciousleadership #warriorwisdom
